Leisure World Pickleball Club - PicklePeople

  • Official club communications from Board and Activity coordinators will be managed via TrackItHub (TiH), which ensures that all members are informed.

  • TiH has some (limited) abilities for players to get in touch with each other, so members are continuing to use the google group “PicklePeople” for social communication. PicklePeople is a ‘googlegroup’, and is an informal way for LW Pickleball Club members to connect.

  • Membership to picklepeople is optional. Once a member is signed up to PP, they can easily send (and receive) emails to the rest of the group, to lwpicklepeople@googlegroups.com

  • Please familiarize yourself with usage guidelines (Do’s and Don’ts), below.

  • Helene Ballantyne has volunteered to manage the group.

  • To Signup: New members will receive an invitation to join. (Please be patient, it may take awhile for the invitation to be sent out; it is not automatic).
If you aren’t on PicklePeople, and want to be but haven’t received an invitation, contact Helene .

PicklePeople Do’s & Don’ts:

We ask that members follow these simple guidelines to help keep the forum relevant, appropriate and respectful:

Do:

  • post informal information or questions relating to LW PB Club activities or interests, such as:

    • happenings in and around the courts,

    • general questions about the sport of pickleball,

    • information about local pickleball activities outside of Leisure World,

    • news about LWPC members in pickleball-related activities outside of Leisure World,

    • pickleball-related items for sale.

  • limit replies to the sender when you have a comment intended only for them, such as “Thanks”, “Great job” or another personal comment.

 Don’t:

  • use profanity, or send anonymous messages on PicklePeople.

  • use PicklePeople for personal business such as:

    • buying or selling items not related to pickleball,

    • LW properties for sale or rent,

    • arranging a foursome to play a game.

  • use “reply-all” to a PicklePeople email unless it is appropriate for the full membership to receive your response.

  • use PicklePeople as a forum to discuss non-pickleball related issues and events, whether in Leisure World or the community at large.

  • use Picklepeople to criticize or complain about club members or activities; please address these to a board member for review and potential action.

Misuse and abuse of PicklePeople may result in removal of your ability to compose and send emails via the PicklePeople group.
